THE SOCIAL NETWORK FILM

Justin Timberlake stars in the new movie about the rise of Facebook. The film focuses on the way maker Mark Zuckerberg revolutionised the way we all communicate.
He launched the website, that now over 250million people are registered on, in 2003. Former college friend Eduardo Saverin and Napster founder Sean Parker helped spread the word about Facebook and also finance of the site.
Since it's launch there has been fierce battles of it's ownership and also seen Zuckerberg become a billionaire. The film is based on the book: The Accidental Billionaires by Ben Mezrich and gives a bitter insight into the world we all now communicate with.

If only things were easy...

Am I the only one who get stuck thinking sometimes, that some things in life are made to be just too difficult? I surely can't be.

I've been trying to sort out my move to my new house, and at the same time I need to amend all my details for my car insurance, home insurance, bills, income protection and all that sort of paperwork stuff. The problem? They make life so difficult!

I want to call them up, tell them I'm changing address, and let that be that. But no. I need to be sent forms, fill out those forms and return them in the mail. Who uses the mail these days? I can't do it online, by email, or phone. Just by post. What a ridiculous system, this is 2011 people!

The problem is, everything gets so complicated like this. When an old flatmate moved out we had to amend our council tax, but they wouldn't let us, so we had to create a new account. Then, the council tax people went on a barrage chasing us for not paying our old account, when we were paying the new one! It's bureaucracy gone mad!

Poor Chantelle

I had absolutely no idea that Chantelle Houghton and Alex Reid are a couple!

It's like a match made in reality TV heaven! I hadn't heard about them being an item at all, but today I saw Chantelle on This Morning to talk about her anguish at only having a 1% chance of falling pregnant naturally.

I must've had my eyes far away from gossip magazines and TV but apparently she was on the show a few weeks ago gushing about her new relationship with Katie Price's ex. This time though, she was there to reveal how afraid she was that Alex Reid might leave her if she told him about her probable infertility.

I remember hearing her talk before about how she feared her yo-yo weight and eating disorders of her past may have taken their toll on her body and ruined her chances of having a baby.

I think it's really sad the way young girls are made to be so obsessed with their weight and the way they look, but then when they grow up and realise how much they could have, or indeed in some cases have ruined their health they regret it.

In-Betweeners Movie

It's the film that everyone absolutely must go out and see this week!

We've watched all three series from beginning to end since 2008, laughing and cringing and wishing that Simon would finally get with Carly, so now it's time to see the boys as they hit the big screen.

I hope they don't ruin the legacy that the TV series has created, but judging by the adverts and trailers it seems to be just as you'd expect it.

The four protagonists, as it were - half-civilised nerd Will (Simon Bird), romantic masochist Simon (Joe Thomas), sexual braggart/ actual virgin Jay (James Buckley) and lanky simpleton Neil (Blake Harrison) – celebrate the end of school and Simon's being dumped by Carly by going for a laddish holiday to Malia in Crete.

This should definitely be a homegrown hit, and it's great to see us holding our own, even if it is with ill-mannered, crude jokes, bad behaviour, hmm, maybe it's not such a great British representation... but hey, it's a laugh!

Another Trip To HMV Proves Too Dangerous For Me

Am I the only one who can't go into an HMV store and leave empty handed? I simply cannot leave without buying something!

Today wasn't too much of a tragedy, they're having one of those big sales they have a few times a year, which is a great time to get music, DVD and video game bargains.

I just saved quite a bit of money by comparing gas and electricity prices online, so I didn't mind spending a bit in the sale!

I bought the Inception double DVD set for just £5.99, Shawshank Redemption for only £2.93, the Back To The Future trilogy for £9.99 and How I Met Your Mother complete season 4 box set for just £9.51! And those are just to name a few... before I got to the music and games sections!
